SUVAS

SUVAS –Surendranagar Vankar Samaj—is a federation of artisans from the culturally rich district of Surendranagar in Gujarat, who have come together to keep their ancient and historic craft traditions alive.

SUVAS artisans are engaged in five diverse crafts that encompass a kaleidoscopic range of exquisite products.

SUVAS is promoted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Gandhinagar under the government’s Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) scheme for rural development, in association with SAATH Charitable Trust and CARE India.
